Montréal, July 11, 2012 – The 2,300 employees of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton were saddened to learn of the passing of their President and Chief Executive Officer, Jean Robillard, on Monday following a brief, rapidly progressive illness.
Jean Robillard, who was 58 at the time of his death, had been head of the Firm since 2008, following a brilliant career within the Firm’s Recovery and Reorganization group since 1986.
Recognized as a meticulous and determined individual, Jean Robillard was instrumental in helping the Firm to stand out and achieve a leading position among major Quebec-based organizations.

I send my deepest and sincere condolences on the passing of Jean Robillard. I got to know Jean while working with him on the Jeffrey Mine mandate and must say he was a very intelligent and hard working professional. He will be sadly missed by many friends and clients.

I had the privilege of working with Jean during my tenure as a member of Grant Thornton’s Board of Governors. I was always impressed by his tremendous warmth and humanity as well as his professional and business expertise.
