An organized, charismatic person, as well as a high achiever, François Normand is recognized as a positive leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Having taught audit at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières for several years, he derives considerable satisfaction from passing on his knowledge to colleagues.

His extensive dedication to his region is evident in his numerous volunteer activities such as being a founding member of the Fonds de développement économique Laprade Champlain, Treasurer of Ducks Unlimited Canada − Centre Mauricie and President of the City of Cap-de-la-Madeleine’s 350th anniversary celebrations.

The numerous hours he has put in serving the community were recognized on a number of occasions, for example, when he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, the title of Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant and the title of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the 62nd Field Artillery Regiment, RCA.
