The results of the CPA, CA path of the Uniform Evaluation (UFE-CFE) for chartered professional accountants—the entrance requirement for the accounting profession in Canada—were made public today (December 4).

We are proud of the brilliant and driven next generation. These individuals are striving to unlock their full potential, and this is why, to draw attention to the outstanding success and determination of our 92 candidates who passed this rigorous professional evaluation, we will publish an advertisement in Les Affaires magazine (December 12th edition).

As of January 1, 2016, the Partner in Charge of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Magog office, Jean Gaouette, will take on the clients of accountant Alain Langlois. After 46 years in the business, Alain is retiring, and wishes to have his clients continue to be served by trusted, qualified, responsible and available professionals.

Under the agreement, Jean and his team will be responsible for all of Alain’s clients, i.e., for both individuals and organizations, and provide bookkeeping and tax return preparation services. They will also be available to advise and assist them in managing their business.

Jean is very pleased to have the opportunity to serve new clients and reasserts that he will be fully available to both new and existing ones.
