Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton once again stated its position during the federal and Quebec prebudget consultations, with the objective of proposing measures to boost competitiveness and innovation. The firm’s budget recommendations were sent to various federal and Quebec ministers and elected members as well as numerous key economic and business influencers.

With a focus on advocating for the business community, the firm issued its comments on the budgets tabled (federal and Quebec), and informed taxpayers about the announced measures (federal and Quebec tax bulletins). Another concerted project illustrating Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s leading role in the marketplace and its constant focus on providing taxpayers with clear information about the issues that shape their world. Outreach showcasing a firm with deep roots across Quebec that is committed to supporting the success of local organizations!

Producing and broadcasting these strategic documents involved several experts, some of whom also conveyed their expertise to the public in a number of regional and national media outlets. The budget proposals were highlighted in some twenty interviews with various media across Quebec.

February 27, 2018 federal budget:

Interviews by TVA (1st web article, 2nd web article) with tax partner Sylvain Gilbert, who was at the lock-up, were also disseminated across Quebec in the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec. Sylvain also addressed listeners of 95,7 FM (Saguenay), 101,5 FM (Ste-Marie-de-Beauce) and 107,7 FM (Eastern Townships) and viewers of CPAC, during the parliamentary channel’s Revue Politique program (go to 24 min., 39 sec.) broadcast in Canada.

Tax partner Sylvain Moreau, in attendance at the lock-up, contributed to several interviews: the V Télé (go to 2:36) news bulletin broadcast throughout Quebec; SRC radio (4:44 pm) in Québec City, radio 95,5 FM (Témiscouata) and radio 103,5 FM (St-Georges-de-Beauce).

Olivier Levesque, Tax Consultant, was interviewed by radio hosts of 99,5 FM (Roberval).

March 27, 2018 Quebec budget:

Sylvain Gilbert participated in the media lock-up, serving as an analyst for reporters. He gave several interviews, such as TVA television in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, radio 97,5 FM (Chicoutimi), 95,5 FM (Témiscouata) and 103,5 FM (St-Georges-de-Beauce).

Luc Lacombe was interviewed by several reporters for such media outlets as V Télé (go to 5:29; report broadcast across Quebec), SRC radio (go to 5:04) in Québec City, NRJ and Rouge FM stations in Mauricie and radio 101,5 FM (Ste-Marie-de-Beauce). Additionally, Luc collaborated on an article for Finances et Investissement that will be published shortly.
