Congratulations to Bernard Grandmont, Brossard Partner, who is serving as one of the two honorary co-chairs of the Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil’s (OSDL) major fundraising campaign, alongside Robert Dutton former president and CEO of Rona, longstanding Firm client.
The second annual fundraising campaign, with “Music First and Foremost” (De la musique avant toute chose) as its theme, is part is part of a five-year (2011-2015) objective to raise $4.5M overall.
Founded in 2005, the role of the OSDL Foundation is to support the OSDL’s work and help solidify its sustainability and standing in the community. The funds raised will be used for the OSDL’s main initiatives, such as welcoming high-quality guest soloists, increasing the number of concerts, continuing to build on its youth series, pursuing the OSDL’s participation in the Mécénat Placements Culture program and participating in Longueuil’s new concert hall project.
The press conference organized in October to launch the OSDL’s fundraising campaign elicited strong interest from the area’s media outlets, as you can see in the various articles (in French) published about the campaign:
