On October 2nd, the 57th Cité Joie Rotary benefit dinner, under the honorary chairmanship of Regional Vice-President, Mario Morin, raised $110,900 for the Fondation Cité Joie. This major Québec-Est Rotary Club event is another affirmation of our firm’s contribution to the success of local communities.
On November 1st, President and CEO, Emilio B. Imbriglio, served as moderator for discussions on the Réseau électronique métropolitain with speaker, Jean-Marc Arbaud, Assistant General Manager of CDPQ infra., This excellent conference is part of a series of conferences on innovation organized by the Association québécoise des entrepreneurs en infrastructure du Québec, where Emilio will serve as moderator/interviewer. The topic of the next conference in February 2018, will be the New Champlain Bridge.
On November 14th, Éric Dufour, Regional Vice-President and National Leader, Entrepreneurial Succession, presented his new conference on generational pathways—Passer du roc à rock—to a highly appreciative audience in Laval.
On November 16th, the modern and stylish micro-distillery, “Artist in Residence”, was the location of the very successful 2017 annual networking cocktail for the Outaouais region attended by some 120 clients and business partners.
On November 21st, Emilio B. Imbriglio, had the privilege of moderating the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations’ panel “International Competition: Why is a company moving to one location rather than another?” before 350 attendees, with panellists John Di Bert from Bombardier, François Boulanger from CGI, Hubert Bolduc from Montréal International and Francis Baillet from Ubisoft.
On November 22nd, Louis Roy, Assurance Partner and Blockchain Service Leader and Lise Monette, Vice-President, Communications, Marketing and Business Development, participated in the Les Affaires B2B marketing conference where they explained the strategic support of marketing in launching an innovative service: www.catallaxy.com.
That same day, in Québec City, Emilio B. Imbriglio participated in the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec’s Journées économiques as a panellist, together with Geneviève Morin from FondAction and Henri-Paul Rousseau from Power Corporation of Canada where the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton President discussed the with panel’s theme, weak private investments in Québec. La Presse reporter, Alain Dubuc, served as moderator.
On November 24th, Emilio B. Imbriglio was seated at the head table of the Minister of International Trade, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, who spoke about Canada’s trade partnerships at an event organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
On November 27th, Nicolas Plante, Management Consulting Partner, had the privilege of introducing Minister of Canadian Heritage, the Honourable Mélanie Joly, during a breakfast conference on creative industries in Quebec organized by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec. Partner Louise Martel (pictured) was also in attendance.
The celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Chandler office by Pierre Georges (pictured) was held on November 29th and attended by some 100 clients and business partners and contacts. Congratulations to the whole team!
On December 4th, Marco Perron, Partner and CEO of RCGT Consulting, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton subsidiary, participated in the Crystal Ball Symposium organized in Ottawa by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce where some 100 business people, MPs, federal ministers and dignitaries, including the Japanese Ambassador to Canada, gathered to discuss U.S. politics and Canada-U.S. economic and trade issues.
