On October 18, 2017, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton proudly celebrated 60 years of history in Matane with a festive cocktail. The firm shares this pride with its clients and business partners who have put their trust in us over the years and who continue today to encourage more than 40 professionals to excel in their commitment. This festive event, presented in a seaside setting, gathered some 75 clients, business partners and employees!

René Gauthier, Partner in charge of the Matane office, said “This is a pride that we must also share with its founder, Gérard Lavoie, who, through his entrepreneurship, marked the history of our firm and that of the local businesses by choosing to join forces with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.”

Sixty Years of Success for Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton in Matane

In its 60 years in Matane, the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Partners and employees are proud of having supported thousands of local clients and organizations in the creation of jobs, innovation development, and the growth and competitiveness of local businesses.

René added, “If our firm’s foothold is so strong in Matane and in the French-speaking Lower St. Lawrence, Gaspé and New Brunswick regions, where we have 14 of our offices, it’s thanks to our valued clients and business partners. They are our raison d’être, just like all of our colleagues who leverage their expertise and professionalism every day for the benefit of our communities and the various players involved. We’re proud to guide our clients in their successes for the past 60 years and trust we will be a partner of choice in their successes for years to come.”

Remember that on June 4, 2017, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Matane office hosted a dinner with the office’s current employees, professionals and partners to honour Gérard Lavoie.
