Congratulations to Nathalie Ashby, CEO of CIBLE Solutions d’affaires who, on May 17, 2012, became the inaugural winner of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Merit Scholarship worth $13,750. This scholarship covers half of the registration fees for one full year of the skills development program at the École d’entrepreneurship de Beauce.

As commented by Bernard Poulin, Tax Partner at the Saint-Georges office, “Quebec aspires to improve its performance. It’s a collective desire that is based on one main premise: our ability to learn. The École d’entrepreneurship de Beauce contributes consistently to this development and Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is extremely proud to be associated with the success of this school and encourage Quebeckers’ entrepreneurial passion.”

A Unique Establishment

This unique school, founded by Marc Dutil, CEO of the Canam Group Inc., makes it possible for 30 “learner-entrepreneurs” to be trained by renowned “teacher-entrepreneurs” such as Jean Coutu, Gregory Charles, Robert Dutton, Marcel Dutil, Mario Girard and Alain Lemaire.

The Société Radio-Canada will develop a vast $1.6B real estate project on its René-Lévesque site. Located a few blocks away from the CHUM, its research centre and the Quartier de la santé and covering an area of 1.2 million square feet, this highly complex project will transform the city’s downtown core.

We won the bid as a result of a joint effort by members of a multidisciplinary team from the Montréal office, which included infrastructure professionals; real estate professionals, and Tax Partner. The team was able to address the client’s needs by presenting a complete and unique service offering.

This win demonstrates the complementarity of our services and the potential of this multidisciplinary team to prove to the selection committee that its experience and expertise is a winning combination, including leading-edge knowledge of the Montreal market and an impressive track record of large financing and infrastructure projects.
