Yesterday afternoon (August 25, 2014), Emilio B. Imbriglio, President and CEO of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, took the Ice Bucket Challenge in front of the 600 De La Gauchetière St. offices in Montréal! He had been challenged by Ed Nusbaum, President of Grant Thornton International, and by Christine Regimbal, a Montréal office Partner.
Emilio in turn challenged other colleagues, including Michel Noël, Partner and Vice-President of the Montréal region, Martin Deschênes, Partner and Chairman of the Firm’s Partnership Board and Jean Schnob, Partner and Vice-President of the Outaouais region.
We would like to thank in advance all Firm members who will accept this challenge or make a donation to further research in finding a cure for this terrible disease!
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a neuromuscular disease characterized by the degeneration of precise nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Approximately 2,500 to 3,000 Canadians over 18 years old currently live with ALS. To date, there is no treatment to significantly prolong the life of patients with ALS.
