An Accessible President and CEO

Emilio B. Imbriglio, President and CEO and, Richard Chrétien, Regional Vice-President and other partners toured the region on Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23, 2018, visiting seven vibrant businesses and meeting their dynamic leaders.

Richard Chrétien proudly stated: “No other major accounting firm can boast about having its decision-making centre in Quebec and count on the proximity of its President and CEO to meet business people. Our President and CEO makes a point of traveling across Quebec once a year to meet entrepreneurs who are a source of pride in our various communities.”

Proximity with Local Businesses

In the region, everybody knows everybody. You can’t talk about business without first establishing a personal connection. You start by talking about the person, getting to know them, understanding what motivates them. It’s thanks to the close connection and shared values that we can become better business advisors.

Chrétien also explained that the Firm’s Lower St. Lawrence – Gaspé region is extensive, it comprises 14 offices and even includes the Edmundston region in New Brunswick. These offices are veritable access points to some 300 experts, including 21 partners in the region, as well as 2,500 experts across the Firm’s network. Moreover, as a member firm of Grant Thornton, we have access to 50,000 professionals in 135 countries.

A tour ending with a field day in Bonaventure

Our President and CEO’s tour ended with a field day in Bonaventure on August 24th. It was an opportunity for the partners to thank their employees for their hard work.

It also gave Emilio a chance to talk to the 60 employees gathered, many of whom were meeting him for the first time.

Employees took full advantage of this day that included kayaking down the Bonaventure salmon river, a round of golf at Flauvel Golf Club and a visit to the Bioparc and Acadian Museum. Employees even participated in a giant Scrabble game highlighting our CLEARR values. All in all, the tour was a great success.
