The Mercure Entrepreneuriat – Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is intended for SMEs and large enterprises. It highlights well thought out business planning processes for the growth of an enterprise over time, which could imply different strategies, in particular: the development of new markets or niches; an upturn in growth due to a new product or business strategy; the adoption of innovative distribution channels; the efficient realization of a merger or acquisition; etc.

Club des petits déjeunersFrance Lessard, Assurance Partner in the Montréal region, was on hand this morning to support the Club des petits déjeuners / Breakfast Club of Canada, which unveiled its Manifeste pour l’enfance (Pledge for Children), marking the organization’s 20th anniversary.

The Pledge states several commitments to Quebec children, including the right to eat, learn and dream. It seeks to mobilize our society to give all children an equal chance for success. The Club hopes to collect 100,000 signatures, which will be submitted to the National Assembly in the next few weeks.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to have contributed to the production of the Pledge.

Journalist and TV host Jean-Luc Mongrain, humorist Laurent Paquin and Sébastien Lefebvre of Simple Plan were also present to support the Pledge, along with Daniel Germain, the Club’s Founding President.

The team of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton took up for a 28th consecutive year the Défi à l’entreprise which was held last Saturday, November 15 for the benefit of the sports teams of the Cégep de Sherbrooke. This makes Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton the team with the longest history of participation in the activity that was launched 28 years ago.

With 10 employees and partners from the Eastern Townships, the RCGT team ranked 19th out of 29 participating teams this year. It is with exemplary enthusiasm, tenacity and sportsmanship that the team has participated in the six unusual sporting events, inspired by the everyday life of the Cégep de Sherbrooke’s athletes.

This year’s team consisted of the recruits Maria Agustina Jalo, Justine Bonin, Marie-Josée Demers, Antoine Dessureault, Maxime Laplante, Stacey Loomis, Simon Mercier and Sacha Simard, as well as the veteran Maxime Nadeau, under the direction of the Manager Denis Poirier and Captain Normand Houle.

About the Défi à l’entreprise
In addition to promoting physical activity and fostering cooperation, this event raises funds to support the twelve teams of the Volontaires of the Cégep de Sherbrooke, especially to cover the travel costs as part of the many events in which they take part each year. The athletes proudly wear the colors of the Cégep and have become known in eight sports: volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming, badminton, football, cross-country and cheerleading.
