MONTRÉAL, January 12, 2015 – With the tax period in full swing, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is pleased to offer its 2014-2015 Tax Planning guide to taxpayers free of charge. This innovative tool provides support for tax planning and tax returns.
“Tax information is complex and not many documents offer the advantage of housing tax measures and new developments under the same tool. We’re proud to provide cutting-edge tax information that helps Quebec taxpayers and managers avoid nasty surprises. Since we’re constantly seeking ways to help Quebec managers achieve their ambitions, our Tax Planning Guide—available in a unique format adapted to today’s users—is part of this objective,” stated Jean Gauthier, Partner and National Tax Manager.
As usual, there are iPhone and iPad Tax Planning Guide apps and a tax calculator with the Apple app that helps consumers understand their tax rate according to their financial profile. The optimized website (www.taxplanningguide.ca) makes browsing easier for the Android, Apple and BlackBerry platforms.
Thanks to the geolocation function, users can quickly consult the tax measures in their province of residence, in both English and French. The tax calculator was also enhanced to be used with Ontario and New Brunswick’s tax tables.
On the Tax Planning Guide website (www.taxplanningguide.ca), taxpayers can download the app from the Apple Store free of charge, get a PDF version and consult other tax-related documents.
