In 2010, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton was the successful bidder in a Québec City call for tenders in management consulting. At that time, Québec City was looking into acquiring an efficient financial management tool that would enable it to provide comparable performance indicators for its various departments and boroughs. In practical terms, the goal was to determine the cost of the six boroughs’ activities.

The secrets of managing activity-based costing

Thanks to our firm’s vast expertise and experience in managing activity-based costing, we coached our client during the entire project. One of our ideas was suggesting the use of SAS software, which helped our client improve its decision-making support, reduce costs and increase performance thanks to proactive management.

Congratulations to the Montréal office Management Consulting Group, especially Ghyslain Cadieux, Senior Manager, and Marie-Joëlle Rivard, Manager, for their invaluable contribution to the project!
