Congratulations to Pascale Bernier, Audit Supervisor, who was selected as one of the recipients of a $2,000 bursary from the Fondation de l’Ordre des comptables en management accrédités du Québec (CMA) and the Place aux jeunes en région (PAJR).
The bursaries are awarded to five young CMA graduates who have chosen to exercise their profession in a remote region and become actively involved in developing their communities, and are intended to help to make the transition and their involvement in such remote communities easier.
A Professional Committed to Her Community
Pascale Bernier is actively involved in developing numerous aspects of her native region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The jury saw her potential as a key player in the community’s growth, particularly in light of her interest in the succession of SMEs and attracting youth to the region. “I decided to come back to Abitibi for the quality of life, green spaces, welcoming people, enormous potential and professional opportunities. The advantage of being in an outlying region is that we have the power to get things done,” Pascale explained.
Congratulations to Pascale for her involvement and positive influence in her community. She has laid the foundation for a promising career at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and her exemplary path demonstrates that it’s possible to have a stimulating career in remote Quebec regions!
