Over 300 people from the community gathered this past May in “Le Rizz” reception hall in Saint-Léonard, for the Fondation de l’hôpital Marie-Clarac Benefit Cocktail.
$100,000 objective exceeded
Under the honorary co-chairmanship of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s President and CEO, Emilio B. Imbriglio, and the General Manager of Montreal’s Caisse Populaire Canadienne Italienne, Mariano A. De Carolis, the event raised $103,000 to benefit the Oasis de Paix project, the new palliative care pavilion of Hôpital Marie-Clarac, which will open its doors in 2014.
As Emilio B. Imbriglio told the guests during the activity:
Contributing to the development of this Oasis of Peace is a remarkable achievement, like all the other works of the Sisters of Charity of St. Mary.
The place where the centre is constructed is absolutely magnificent. The hospital’s environment is conducive to tranquillity and the surrounding landscape gives the impression that we are in a true haven of peace.
The 18 palliative care rooms and the 15 multipurpose care rooms will surely allow our loved ones to experience happy days, surrounded by an attentive and devoted team.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this evening and to the commitment of all the members of the campaign team, especially the Honorary Co-Chair, Sister Pierre Anne Mandato.
