Emilio Imbriglio - Le Devoir (1er août 2011)

The Le Devoir newspaper dedicated the front page of its August 1, 2011 Economics section to Emilio B. Imbriglio, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Executive Committee President and Partner in charge of the Corporate Finance Consulting Group.

The portrait by Claude Turcotte also showcased Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and the Grant Thornton International network’s expertise in corporate finance and government consulting in public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements. It covered the major project with the CHUM mega-hospital, a $2B endeavour, according to the agreement signed in mid-June with an international consortium. The Firm has been providing its expertise with some 20 RCGT consultants who have been working on the project since 2006.

The interview with Mr. Imbriglio explains PPPs and demonstrates their key advantages: “When you look at the project we’ve undertaken, you see that PPPs foster international competition and creativity. We see the machine in operation. The needs have been very well documented in business case files, and efforts were then appropriately channelled. There have been exchanges with international suppliers who came up with extraordinary ideas that we would never have been able to find on our own. The truth is, these new ways of working are going to be more common in the future.”

The Le Devoir piece constitutes prestigious coverage that highlights our expertise and brings out the Firm’s reputation and excellence in the area of infrastructures.
