On May 23, 2012, members of the Recovery and Reorganization Group at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton took part in the very first edition of the Rallye Montréal inc. in support of the Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain.

The team of five cyclists were Boris Roussimoff-Stoëff (Senior Manager), Marie-Josée Mourand (Administrative Assistant), Geneviève Pagé (Lead Senior Manager), Michèle Ouellette (Marketing Consultant) and Julie Marcotte-Levasseur (Administrative Assistant).

BIXI Spin Worth $120,000

Our valiant team cycled on BIXIs in downtown Montréal taking on various challenges along the way. The rally raised $120,000 that will be invested in bursaries and services for young Montréal entrepreneurs as a contribution to their start-up phase.

Congratulations to the cyclists and good luck to the young entrepreneurs in all their endeavours!

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to announce that Véronique Denys, M. Fisc., Lawyer, Tax Director at the Québec City office, was the recipient of an award at the Quebec City YWCA’s 14th Femmes de mérite 2012 benefit on May 24, 2012. Winner in the Sports category, Véronique beat out Catherine Roberge, a Judo athlete, and Marianne St-Gelais, member of the women’s national short-track speed skating team.

Extraordinary Feat, Unique Woman

You will recall that by reaching the summit of Vinson Massif in Antarctica on November 26, 2011, Véronique became the first Quebec woman to reach the top of the highest summit on every continent, an international challenge that is the ultimate goal of the world’s greatest mountaineers. Such a feat has been accomplished by 300 people worldwide, including 21 women. Since then, Véronique has been giving conferences on a regular basis, inviting people to persevere and surpass themselves.

Close to 150 Women Honoured Since 1999
