You will recall that in 2016, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton celebrated the 50th anniversary of its presence in Beauce. Over that 50-year period, the firm was involved on a continual basis with dozens of local organizations. Our commitment is being recognized for the support we have provided to various organizations, including the École d’entrepreneurhsip de Beauce, Fondation du Cégep Beauce-Appalaches, Maison Catherine de Longpré, and many more. Also of note is the exceptional engagement of the firm’s employees regarding Les Enfants d’amour on RCGT in the Community day last September 23rd.

If our organization is among the finalists for the gala that will take place on April 29, 2017, it’s thanks to the exceptional dedication of our employees.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to invest time and money in the Beauce economic and social community. Supporting charity and community projects is positive, inspiring and synonymous with sustainability. This is what makes our firm stand out, not only for its excellent service but also for making a difference in the community.

Mario Morin, Regional Vice-President, recently participated in the Rendez-vous national sur la main-d’œuvre on behalf of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. Organized by the Quebec government, this event took place on February 16 and 17, 2017 at the Centre des congrès de Québec and brought together representatives from the world of business, unions, education, training and civil service organizations to establish a true Quebec-wide strategy on current and future human resources.

Participants made their recommendations in turn. Speaking before the hundred or so participants, Mario took the opportunity to discuss the challenges of economic development and labour availability. His recommendations echoed those put forth by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton to the federal and provincial governments to foster our local organizations’ competitiveness and productivity.

Mario was part of the Conseil du patronat du Québec delegation, whose mission is to ensure that Quebec businesses can benefit from the most favourable conditions, in particular, in terms of human capital, to ensure their sustainability in the face of global competition.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton congratulates all of the parties involved in the major event to support Quebec’s future.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Tax Partner, Luc Lacombe, was interviewed on TVA following publication of the Coalition Avenir Québec’s budget recommendations. The CAQ proposed six measures to help families. Without stating he was against the proposed measures, Luc Lacombe briefly explained to TVA Nouvelles that it would have been more relevant to suggest measures to give our wealth-creating businesses the means to achieve their ambitions, particularly in terms of tax incentives and entrepreneurial succession.
