January 13, 2014, on the V channel, Quebec and other viewers witnessed the courage and determination of Lac-Mégantic entrepreneurs, victims of the tragedy of July 6, 2013, tragedy, in restarting their businesses.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton had the privilege of a front row seat at this innovative broadcasting concept, which has already helped several merchant entrepreneurs receive assistance, in the form of free professional services, donated products or low-priced purchases of materials.

During the first show, the President and CEO, Emilio B. Imbriglio, delivered a rousing message to Lac-Mégantic entrepreneurs. Along with other dynamic entrepreneurs, including Lise Watier and Rémi Marcoux, Mr. Imbriglio helped give the entrepreneurs the necessary strength to achieve their full potential and fulfill their dreams. Here is another opportunity to view the President and CEO’s message.

Partner Marc Legendre provided mentoring for this series. He ably advised the merchant entrepreneurs, encouraged them to carry out their projects, and issued appeals for public support. The appeals of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton mentor were heard. For example, after the testimony by Élizabeth Roy of the boutique Au coin d’Émilia, Mr. Legendre had appealed to cabinet-making schools to assist this retailer. As a result, a Trois-Rivières cabinet-making school expressed interest in supporting Ms. Roy by making furniture. This example illustrates Quebec’s power of mobilization and the great solidarity displayed by our society.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to help make a difference and participate in the changes in progress in Lac-Mégantic! To watch the series of shows again, click here.

We also invite you to visit the website regularly at www.lac-megantic.tv to keep up with news and developments regarding the business projects of merchant entrepreneurs.
