On Thursday, March 13, 2014, Women of Talent committee members from the Montréal region and Recovery & Reorganization group held an exclusive event together with RBC Royal Bank to highlight women entrepreneurs.
Numerous Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and RBC professionals and clients were on hand to hear inspiring speeches from the event’s three guests, also clients of both firms; Nathalie Lehoux, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, Pacini Group, Viviane Gravel, founder of Metix Inc., and Karine Pomerleau, CEO of Trans-Herbe Inc.
During their respective talks, the women touched on their personal career paths, greatest accomplishments, business experience, expected challenges over the coming years and how they manage to balance work and personal life. Participants were enthralled by their inspiring stories that also served as a call to overcome the challenges facing women entrepreneurs.
A silent auction was held in support of women entrepreneurs with the help of two talented artists, Brigitte Varin and Carole Doucet, who donated paintings, with half of the auction’s proceeds going to Femmessor.
The evening also reinforced the long-standing ties between Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and RBC Royal Bank.
Congratulations to the organizers of this successful event: Édith Pion, Tax Partner at the Brossard office, Julie Kherrafi, Account Manager, Commercial Financial Services at RBC, Women of Talent committee members from the Montréal region and the Recovery & Reorganization group, and the Montréal region communications team.
Events of this magnitude help our firm assert its leadership position and help professionals develop their business network.
