SHAWINIGAN, October 26, 2012 – Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to welcome Shawinigan-based Théoret Perreault Ricard Cossette Experts-Comptables Inc. Inauguration of the Saint-Éphrem Office

Luc Lemieux, Mayor of Saint-Éphrem (left), and Partner, Rémi Fortin (right) were proud to inaugurate Saint-Ephrem’s new multifunctional centre, located at 34 Highway 271 South. Congratulations!

On October 14, 2012, the Saint-Éphrem office inaugurated its new premises during a ceremony organized by the Saint-Éphrem municipality which also celebrated the official opening of the Saint-Éphrem-de-Beauce multifunctional centre.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton took the opportunity to invite its clients, business associates and the business community to visit its office and discover the multifunctional centre, a project requiring municipality and provincial government funding of over $5M.

Many distinguished guests were on-hand at the ceremony, during which Rémi Fortin, Partner, spoke on behalf of all tenants. Other guests included Luc Lemieux, the Mayor of Saint-Éphrem-de-Beauce, Robert Dutil, the provincial MNA of Beauce-Sud, as well as regional media representatives.

During the event, 250 people interacted with our professionals and learned about Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s new office in Saint-Ephrem.

From September 23 to 26, 2012, our team of specialized audit experts in collaboration with Grant Thornton Canada reinforced its place among existing clients while setting itself apart with new international prospects at the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) 2012 National Conference at the Montréal Hyatt Regency hotel. Under the theme, “Curiosity + Creativity = Success!”, the event featured two of our experts, Denis Lefort and Lyne Boissel, who showcased our Firm’s expertise with their conference on the subject of external quality evaluations, their main issues and the underlying IIA standards (Évaluations qualité externe : les principaux enjeux et les normes de l’IAI en cause).

Our kiosk attracted many visitors who participated in a contest to win an iPad. The winner was Pierre Charbonneau, Senior Internal Auditor of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (see photo below).

Furthermore, our clients were invited to an exclusive VIP evening event organized by RCGT at Ateliers & Saveurs in Old Montréal. Our guests were able to meet our team members while learning how to cook tapas, make cocktails and taste a selection of wines. Overall some fifty people took part in this wonderful evening!
