Intended for the dynamic entrepreneur, Focus Magazine is a series of video briefs about current issues and various topics related to the entrepreneurial reality. The broadcasting of these informative video briefs online is part of a desire to provide managers with tools so that they can achieve more growth potential with key tips developed by professionals of the firm. Focus Magazine allows experts to address specific issues of interest for entrepreneurs. Topics covered include human resources, taxation, financial advice, strategic planning, etc.

Réal Létourneau, Partner and Vice-president of the Eastern Townships region, presents the concept and its strategic interest in the following video (in French):

The briefs, which last between two and three minutes, will be broadcasted throughout the year on the basis of a brief every two weeks. Starting December 2nd, briefs will be posted online on the RCGT Eastern Townships YouTube channel on Tuesdays. They will also be listed on the blogs of each of the experts on the rcgt.com site. The following four briefs are already available (in French only):

Business Transfer: The Situation in Quebec, with François Lapointe
SR&ED Tax Credits: Description of the Program, with Éric Brosseau
Human Resources: Coaching, with Julie Boucher
Real Estate Consulting: Reasons for Having a Seniors’ Residence valued, with Simon Gagné-Lefebvre

The next briefs will be online on December 16 and 30 and January 13, and will respectively cover the following topics (in French only):
– Business Transfer: The Financing File, with Christiane Caisse
– Strategic Planning: The Business Review, with Amélie Corbeil
– US taxation: US Properties held as Investments, with Melissa La Venia

Broadcasting of the briefs will be announced on the firm’s various social media whereas the launch of the online magazine will be promoted in the next few weeks in local traditional and Web media in the Eastern Townships region.

Since we have the success of our wealth creators at heart, we are proud to provide local entrepreneurs with Web informative tips in order to support them in some decisions.

During the evening of a masked ball held for “Semaine nationale de la visibilité de l’action communautaire autonome”, the national week of visibility for independent community action, Corporation de développement communautaire de Beauce-Etchemins (CDCBE) presented Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton with the Prix reconnaissance, recognizing its community involvement.

This award was presented to all of our firm’s Beauce offices, particularly due to our participation on various boards of organizations such as Conseil économique de Beauce and Chambre de commerce de St-Georges. 200 guests unmask community organizations

Held this October 25 in the presence of more than 200 guests, this evening was conceived to unmask Beauce community organizations and offer them visibility in the region, to thank them for their work and their support to the community.
