Daniel Berthelot, Assurance Partner, and chair of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Golf Tournament for Women Organizing Committee was very proud to give a symbolic cheque for $168,650 to the Fondation Santé Baie-des-Chaleurs last July 7th. The funds will be put towards the purchase of digital 3D breast tomosynthesis and needle aspiration biopsy equipment and a specialized examination chair. Thanks to this high-tech equipment, Hôpital de Maria in the Gaspe, will be able to significantly improve breast cancer detection and perform biopsies.
In an interview with the L’Écho de la Baie newspaper, Daniel Berthelot stated, “Once again, our community has made an outstanding contribution to the Fondation Santé Baie-des-Chaleurs’ mission. Businesses in the Baie-des-Chaleurs answer the call to support the foundation’s mission year after year, making the golf tournament one of the most important fund-raising activities in our region.”
Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is the main event sponsor and Daniel has chaired the tournament organizing committee for five years in a row. Well aware of the foundation’s importance, he is very enthusiastic about the benefits to be gained from these new technologies and about making them available in the Gaspe. His dedication to this cause is a testament to his Baie-des-Chaleurs community involvement, showcases our firm and reinforces ties with clients and business partners in the region.
Dr. Marie-Claude Thériault, Medical Imaging Chief at the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Gaspésie, Honorary Chair and event spokesperson, with Daniel Berthelot, organizing committee chair and New Richmond office Assurance Partner.
