This second stage of theYamaha Cart Plus circuit of the Association des golfeurs professionnels du Québec (AGP) was an amazing success! And what’s more Dave Lévesque, a local, was the big winner thanks to his eight below-par score.

We should mention that the tournament was preceded by the RCGT Pro-am Challenge, where many of our partners and clients were able to tee off against the crème de la crème of the Quebec golf circuit! Hats off to our Vice-president Michel Proulx and his entire team for having made the Classic a successful event that delighted all of the participants.

Prominent media visibility

Thanks to its association with the AGP, the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton name was featured province-wide over the past few days. Uur Firm was mentioned in several weeklies (Le Soleil, Le Nouvelliste, Le Quotidien, L’Avantage, La Presse, Journal de Montréal, etc.), and on Web sites (Cyberpresse, Canoë, RDS, CKAC, etc.) in addition to various radio or TV sports segments. Moreover, since the event was picked up by The Canadian Press, quite a few local print and weeklies re-ran the story, providing RCGT with prominent visibility.

Yvan Beauchemin tees off against golf legends

While the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Classic was underway, Yvan Beauchemin was taking part for a second year in a row in the Championnat de Montréal, a PGA Champions tour featuring a host of golf legends. Although he was facing some stiff competition, Yvan Beauchemin, sponsored by our Firm, did well under the circumstances, finishing with a six-under par to rank 52nd overall in the tournament, which was won by John Cook.
