On April 26, 2014, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton was amongst the enterprises competing in the category “Investment Project, commercial section” of the Chambre de commerce de Saint-Georges’ Gala de l’entreprise beauceronne.

This distinction is aimed at highlighting the realization of distinctive projects which had an impact on the development and growth of nominated businesses. This nomination thus highlighted the success of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s projects initiated during the last few years relating to the Firm’s expansion approach, which consisted in putting forward major investment projects in order to continue the growth of the Firm in the Beauce region. It may be recalled that this approach included three parts, which are the complete renovation of the Saint-Georges office, the moving of the Saint-Éphrem office and the acquisition of Gilbert, Bureau, Roy, CGA.

Congratulations to partners and employees of the Saint-Georges office, who contribute every day to the strategic positioning of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton as a devoted company at the professional level and who are actively involved in the promotion of a development- and growth-oriented culture.

On March 20, the Estrie Red Cross organized the second edition of “Mission Sherbrooke” to benefit the Red Cross. The event’s honorary co-president was Chantal Lessard, Assurance Partner at the Sherbrooke office, and Christian Beaulieu of RBC Dominion Securities. With the theme “Vivre la tragédie de Lac-Mégantic” (Experience the Lac-Mégantic tragedy), this activity raised over $30,000! Michèle Dionne, associated with the Red Cross for several years, was also present for the event.

On April 15, 2014, Ghyslain Cadieux, Senior Manager of the Strategic and Performance Consulting Group from the Montréal office, gave a lecture entitled “Master your production cost” in front of about 60 producer-processors. This event, organized by the Financière agricole du Québec, was meant to be an opportunity to exchange words and learn more as to challenges which producer-processors are facing, in order to better define services from which their clients should benefit.

By attending the lectures, producer-processors also had the chance to listen to testimonies of colleagues from, amongst others, the breeding, cheese and alcoholic beverages industries.
