According to the Les affaires ranking of the 500 largest enterprises in Quebec (May 2017), Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton remains in the 67th spot thanks to its 2,328 professionals present in more than 100 offices throughout the province.

On May 23, 2017, the new integrated accounting-consulting services offering for SMEs was finally officially unveiled during the launch of operiō. The event, held at the magnificent Mont-Royal chalet in Montréal, brought together more than 500 guests, including dignitaries, important business figures and of course, SME owners and operators.

The evening, hosted by Simon Durivage who acted as the Emcee for the occasion, began with speeches from the main operiō team members, followed by a few enthusiastic words from Lise Thériault, Deputy Premier and Minister responsible for Small and Medium Enterprises, Regulatory Streamlining and Regional Economic Development and the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage.

As it was the perfect opportunity, Serge Beauchemin, angel investor and renowned Dragon, presented a one-year membership to operiō to the two winners of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton prize, offered in connection with Dans l’œil du dragon.

The many entrepreneurs in attendance were able to meet with the operiō representatives onsite to obtain further details about this innovative service, or plan a more formal meeting in the near future. Magnificent kiosks in the operiō colours enabled viewers to discover the user-friendly aspect of this leading-edge technology on electronic tablets.

Partner Rémi Fortin, in charge of the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton offices in Beauce, discussed the sale of Canam Group shares to an American investment company on an episode of Première heure. Canam Group is the largest North American manufacturer of steel components and specializes in designing integrated solutions for the construction industry.
