Emilio B. Imbriglio, President and CEO, was in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean last September 17th-19th.
His visit is part of his annual tours of the various regions to meet with staff, business partners and dynamic organizations on site.
Management in touch with its employees
Emilio then went on to visit employees in the La Baie, Chicoutimi and Jonquière offices to thank them for their exemplary work and share his vision of an increasingly efficient firm with its employees and clients at the heart of its priorities. The visit was an opportunity for friendly, personal discussion, which all of the teams appreciated.
Éric Dufour said: “There are very few large-scale firms with a President who is as open as Emilio. He stands out and takes his time. He wants to learn about employees in all areas and departments. He is approachable and there is no doubt that his interaction mobilizes the troops. It’s a real pleasure to have him with us.”
Attentive to major economic development projects
The President’s visit was also an opportunity to bring together the managers of three major projects that will have a significant economic and historic impact in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean: David Dufour, Regional Manager, BlackRock Metals mining project, Jean-Sébastien David, Chief Operating Officer, Ariane Phosphate and Stéphane Tremblay, Leader, Regional Development with GNL Québec.
Their discussions covered the issues and objectives of these projects that will positively impact the economic situation of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean once they are operational.
Inauguration of a new office
The Dolbeau-Mistassini office inaugurated its new premises with several business partners, clients and political representatives in attendance.
These new premises will house even more employees, evidence of the firm’s constant growth in the Maria-Chapdelaine RCM. It is the firm’s increasingly greater market share in the area that led it to relocate in order to respond to client needs professionally and conscientiously.
Marc Lévesque, Assurance Partner in charge of the upper lake region said: “The new Dolbeau-Mistassini office provides our employees with a dynamic, innovative and collaborative work environment.
Clients will also benefit from even more efficient services and a welcoming location to interact with our teams.”
Visit to a Lac Saint-Jean institution
In his visit to the chocolate factory of the Mistassini Trappist monks, our President and CEO discovered a company that combines innovation and tradition.
The firm’s representatives had an opportunity to visit the manufacturing plant and discuss the various upcoming projects with the management of this very vibrant and growing business.
The human resources challenge … the vision of two business sector leaders
A noteworthy activity of this tour was Emilio’s dinner with Stéphane Achard, Executive Vice-President – Commercial Banking and Insurance, National Bank where they talked about their vision and the human resource challenges for Quebec SMEs in the presence of some 50 regional business people.
Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is present in all four corners of Quebec. It’s important, therefore, for the President and team of Partners to meet with economic stakeholders in various communities and, especially, to discuss with staff members in order to stay in the leading group of innovative and high-performance professional services firms!
