Congratulations to the employees and Partners of the Saint-Georges office that took part in the Marche Roland Lapointe to raise funds for the Centre d’Écoute et de Prévention du Suicide (CEPS). This seventh edition of the 12-hour walk event raised close to $20,000.

The CEPS helps suicidal people by providing a distress line and also offers support groups for people in mourning. Close to 5,000 people call the CEPS for help annually.

On August 7, 2012, the Heart & Stroke Foundation held its annual draw at the Loterie du Cœur, and Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton was there to supervise the event during the Salut Bonjour show!

The Loterie du Cœur, created by the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Québec, in partnership with Bonneville Homes, the Jean Coutu Group, RBC Royal Bank, Archambault and Quebecor Media, provides on-going financial support for research in Canadians’ cardiovascular health.

The prizes up for grabs were:

  • A $500,000 grand prize, including a home from Bonneville Homes (valued at $400,000) and $100,000 cash
  • Five $10,000 cash prizes
  • One thousand $100 gift-cards at any Archambault store
