On January 17, 2013, Nathalie Normandeau, Vice- President – Strategic Development, took part in a networking activity bringing together some sixty business women from the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and organized by the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton office in Rimouski.
“In Business as in Politics, a Woman Brings a Different View”
Leader of the initiative “Women of Talent” within the firm, Mrs. Normandeau has taken advantage of this tribune to talk about her career path to incite women to assert themselves and take their rightful place in the world of business. As she pointed out in her message to the business women present: “Society must rely even more so on women’s contributions in terms of economics and productivity. Furthermore, I never wanted to work like a man, because I think women can bring a different view of the world. It’s important to remain authentic and believe in one’s potential.”
This event was greatly appreciated by participants who felt more motivated, proud and more determined to take their place. Thanks to everyone who took part in making this evening a great success, namely, Annick Dionne who is in charge of “Women of Talent” in the Bas-Saint-Laurent – Gaspésie area.
Our Next Meeting on January 30 in Quebec City
In the same vein as the Rimouski event, the Association des femmes entrepreneures de Québec has invited Mrs. Normandeau to deliver a conference next January 30 in Quebec City as part of the thematic “Inspiring Women – Sharing Confidences”. Please note that registration for this event dealing with passion and success is open to all, both men and women. Welcome!

Incidentally, for the first time after retiring from political life, Nathalie Normandeau has granted her first television interview to a national media, that is, RDI. She talks about her new life within Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, the changes in her daily life and her new sense of freedom.
