Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Corporate Finance team is pleased announce the successful sale of Dubo Électrique Ltd (‘‘Dubo’’) to Guillevin International Co. (“Guillevin”).

Founded in 1955, Dubo is one of the leading value-added distributors of electrical products in the province of Quebec. It offers a wide range of electrical, lighting, automation, controls and complementary products for the industrial, OEM, commercial, residential, government, institutional and electrical contractor markets.

The Company’s enhanced services are supported by a team of experienced specialists and range from project management to logistics and inventory management, as well as kitting and personalized order processing and a diversity of value-added services. The Company has seven branches in the province of Quebec, including its 100,000 sq. ft. head office and distribution center in Montreal.

The financing round included numerous returning investors, including lead investor Desjardins Capital, and also included debt facilities provided by National Bank’s Technology and Innovation Group.

Founded in 2013, Montreal-based WeCook delivers meals to approximately 20,000 customers through its online sales platform and prepares nearly 2.5 million meals a year. Since its founding, the company has focused on both industry-leading product quality as well as its highly analytical and disciplined digital marketing strategy. For over 8 years, WeCook’s focus on the prepared meal space has allowed it to develop a leading position in this high growth segment as well as develop a deep and fundamental understanding of its customers. Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Corporate Finance team is pleased announce the successful sale of IVEX, Induspac and Estapack (together the “Specialized Packaging Group’’ or ‘‘SPG”) to Palo Alto-based Altamont Capital Partners (“Altamont”).

Founded more than 40 years ago in Montreal, Quebec, SPG is one of the largest independent vertically integrated manufacturers of protective packaging in North America. SPG has grown organically and by way of acquisitions to more than 1,000 employees and operates under two divisions, IVEX and Engineered Packaging.
IVEX, which has six facilities in the US, Canada and Mexico, manufactures a range of packaging materials, including polyethylene foam, cold chain products and other protective packaging products. Engineered Packaging, which is comprised of Induspac and Estapack, designs and manufactures customized packaging solutions at eight facilities in the US and Mexico using a variety of materials, including polyethylene foam, corrugated cardboard and wood.
