Two years ago, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton transformed its work spaces at 600 De La Gauchetière St. West in Montréal, to foster collaboration by tearing down the silos between departments.

Catherine Hersent, Western Region General Manager, was asked to speak about this major project during the Gestion des espaces de travail (Managing work spaces) conference, presented by Événements Les Affaires on May 2, 2018.

In a Les Affaires article, Ms. Hersent explained all of the efforts deployed to create an innovative and collaborative work environment that would motivate employees.

According to a survey, the results were most positive for the firm, with more than 8 out of 10 employees stating they were very satisfied with the transformation:

“It’s good for business development and it promotes the sharing of ideas and experiences amongst employees, said Ms. Hersent. […] They enjoy being near to their colleagues, the lighting, the feeling of openness. They wouldn’t go back to the way things were.”
