April 22nd will be Earth Day. For the occasion, we are publishing our second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Impact Assessment Report. This report is very important for our firm, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023.

In 2021, we launched our first impact assessment report to take stock of our social responsibility actions. The exercise allowed us to assess the key areas where the firm and its staff could act concretely to truly impact our clients, talent and communities.

We developed concrete 2022 objectives that would allow us to progress, in a spirit of continuous improvement, towards a better version of ourselves. This past year has been marked by a widespread labour shortage that is highly preoccupying to our entrepreneurs, an inflationary economy, significant supply chain challenges, a tentative return to hybrid work and a society that is at last reaching out to the Indigenous cultures it has too-long overlooked.

The backdrop: a persistent pandemic, and major concerns about the climate crisis and cyber risks—both ever-increasing. We are very proud to be helping some 50,000 clients, from all Québec communities, evolve through these major issues.

This year’s report aims to tell the stories of our people in the field who, day in and day out, make a real difference. It captures in words and pictures how this year again the firm has exemplified our mission, “Driving our talent, clients and communities through our solid advice.”

Renewed trust in our firm and our 2,800 professionals

Leger has unveiled the results of its 26th Reputation Study. This year again, it confirms that the entire staff of the largest Québec-owned accounting firm is committed to serving our clients with passion, diligence and great professionalism. Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud to continue to hold first place in Leger’s ranking of the accounting businesses most admired by Quebeckers.

We greatly appreciate this recognition because it comes directly from Quebeckers, who are our clients, business partners, leaders and entrepreneurs. This valuable gift will mark our 75th anniversary this year. It motivates us to stay committed to empowering our clients and communities through our solid advice.

Thank you for your trust and for making Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton the most admired accounting and management firm in Québec!

About the Leger Reputation Study

Following the tabling of the Québec and federal budgets on March 21 and 28, 2023 respectively, several Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton experts shared their observations and sound advice through numerous Québec and Canadian media.

Our lead spokespersons sought to inform individuals of the main measures affecting their pocketbook, and advise executives and entrepreneurs of the tax and financial measures impacting their business strategies.

Through these interviews, readers, listeners and viewers were led to better understand the scope of some of the key measures in both budgets, including those that might have stayed under the radar, but are proving to be major.

Over 70 interviews in Québec and across the country

No less than 70 single interviews involved 10 tax and consulting experts from Abitibi to the Magdalen Islands, and several Canadian provinces (through numerous interviews with Radio-Canada radio stations). To read, hear or watch these interviews, visit our In the Media webpage.

Thank you very much to all our colleagues

This large-scale operation would not have been possible without the support of the firm’s Communications and Marketing team and all its spokespersons, whom we thank from the bottom of our hearts for their valuable contribution: Partners Annick Breton (Lévis), Bruno Charron (Gatineau), Patrick Delisle (Laval), Éric Dufour (Chicoutimi), Sylvain Gilbert (Sherbrooke), Gino Gosselin (Matane), Steeve Vachon (Sainte-Marie), Managers Olivier Levesque (Roberval) and Stéphanie Roy (Val-d’Or), as well as Stéphane Thibault of the Centre québécois de formation en fiscalité (CQFF), a strategic partner of our firm.
