Guylaine Dallaire, Advisory Tax Partner, was awarded the prestigious distinction of honorary member of COMAQ at the annual conference of the Corporation des officiers municipaux agréés du Québec (COMAQ) on May 25, 2023.

Created on July 5, 1968, COMAQ holds the status of a professional order, as proclaimed by the National Assembly through private statute.

Guylaine was awarded this distinction for her 33-year contribution to demystifying GST-QST treatment for Québec municipalities.

It is worth noting that the title of honorary member has been awarded only 17 times since its creation. It is reserved for people working in the municipal sector who, without being full members of the Corporation, are invaluable collaborators and partners in advancing numerous issues.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton warmly congratulates Guylaine for this well-deserved distinction!

April 22nd will be Earth Day. For the occasion, we are publishing our second Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Impact Assessment Report. This report is very important for our firm, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023.

In 2021, we launched our first impact assessment report to take stock of our social responsibility actions. The exercise allowed us to assess the key areas where the firm and its staff could act concretely to truly impact our clients, talent and communities.

We developed concrete 2022 objectives that would allow us to progress, in a spirit of continuous improvement, towards a better version of ourselves. This past year has been marked by a widespread labour shortage that is highly preoccupying to our entrepreneurs, an inflationary economy, significant supply chain challenges, a tentative return to hybrid work and a society that is at last reaching out to the Indigenous cultures it has too-long overlooked.

The backdrop: a persistent pandemic, and major concerns about the climate crisis and cyber risks—both ever-increasing. We are very proud to be helping some 50,000 clients, from all Québec communities, evolve through these major issues.

This year’s report aims to tell the stories of our people in the field who, day in and day out, make a real difference. It captures in words and pictures how this year again the firm has exemplified our mission, “Driving our talent, clients and communities through our solid advice.”

Read our 2022 impact assessment report (in French) to learn about our initiatives and track our progress.
