Giving businesses a boost

The result of an electoral promise by MNA Luc Fortin, the economic team includes 11 economic figures from the region and is a non-political group with volunteer participants. The team will provide support for businesses’ growth initiatives and will also strive to attract companies to the Sherbrooke area.

Éric Dufour, Vice-President of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean/Chibougamau/Côte-Nord region and National Leader in business transfers, met and spoke with the web magazine, Informeaffaires.com.

Éric had no qualms against mentioning that, among other things, Quebec has failed to identify entrepreneurial profiles. “We need measures for identifying young entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial traits at an early age. By finding them early, they can benefit from specific training. I recommend that Minister Leitao and the Minister of Education, Sébastien Proulx, start searching at the elementary level to secure the growth of Quebec.” Read the article (in French only).
