Congratulations to Yan Boudreault, MBA, Senior Consultant in the Business Valuation and Forensic Accounting Team at our Québec City office, who recently passed the third and final CFA Institute exam.

CFA: A Title Coveted Around the World

To understand the importance of Yan’s achievement, note that approximately 25,000 candidates around the world, including 10,000 Canadians, attempted to pass the third exam, which was held in 194 countries this past June. Of this number, only 52% of candidates passed and may now claim to be Chartered Financial Analysts (CFAs), one of whom is Yan Boudreault, who has become our first employee from the greater Quebec–Chaudière–Appalaches and Mauricie region to receive this title.

An International Standard for Investment Professionals

The CFA title, granted by the CFA Institute since 1963, has become the international standard for investment professionals. Investors consider this prestigious title as a reference for measuring skill and integrity in the financial analysis and portfolio management fields. The CFA Institute includes over 111,000 members in 141 countries.

Obtaining this title represents the fruit of Yan’s hard work, and Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is proud that it can count on his professionalism and skills. Yan’s specific expertise will enhance the range of services offered by our Firm in this region, including our financial damage quantification, financial instrument valuation, liquidity and financial risk management, financial modelling, market analysis, and portfolio performance services. Congratulations, Yan!

Congratulations to the employees and Partners of the Saint-Georges office that took part in the Marche Roland Lapointe to raise funds for the Centre d’Écoute et de Prévention du Suicide (CEPS). This seventh edition of the 12-hour walk event raised close to $20,000.

The CEPS helps suicidal people by providing a distress line and also offers support groups for people in mourning. Close to 5,000 people call the CEPS for help annually.
