Congratulations to Lynda Coache, Partner in Charge of the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Napierville offices, and Pierre Lapointe, Partner and Regional Vice-President, Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches and Mauricie, on being awarded the prestigious title of Fellow (FCA) of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec (OCAQ).

This title is awarded by the OCAQ to formally recognize members who have rendered outstanding services to the profession, or whose achievements in their careers or in the community have earned them distinction and brought honour to the profession.

Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton in congratulating Mrs. Catherine Labrecque-Andersen, M. Sc., analyst for the Business Valuation and Investigative and Forensic Accounting Department (Quebec), for her academic performance. In the course of her master degree in management reporting, Mrs. Labrecque-Andersen has been nominated on the Dean’s list recognition of the faculté des études supérieures et postdoctorales of the Université Laval for the year 2012.

This honour is awarded to Mrs. Labrecque-Andersen for her excellent grades, an average mark of over 4.1 on 4.33.

We are proud to benefit from Mrs. Labrecque-Anderson’s professionalism and we are convinced that our clientele will benefit from it as well.

Our Firm’s expertise was once again showcased during the Urban Development Institute of Québec’s January 31, 2012 conference entitled, “Perspective 2012.” Benoît Egan, Partner, Real Estate Consulting in Montréal and President of our subsidiary, Desjarlais Prévost, was the moderator for a panel discussion at this event that was attended by 225 people. He also presented his vision of real estate investment for the next few years. Benoît’s panel included Jean Lapierre, Lawyer and Political Analyst and Carlos Leitao, Economist at the Laurentian Bank.

Maxime raised various questions about the context of Facebook’s IPO, the social networking platform’s profits, the potential changes in the company’s management, as well as investor interest in this new listing.
