Nautilus Plus is acquired by the existing Management group in collaboration with Fondaction and CSN.
Nautilus Plus Inc. (“Nautilus Plus”) was founded in Quebec City in 1978 by Steve Sutherland and Charles Constantin, two Nordiques players, and it has remained a local company since then. Today the Longueuil-based company is a leading Quebec fitness chain. With approximately 50,000 members and 33 branches, the company has earned a strong reputation thanks to its team of university educated kinesiologists and nutritionists, its safe and stimulating training environments and equipment, and its variety of programs designed to meet the needs of all age groups and skill levels.
Nautilus Plus called on the expertise of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton’s Corporate Finance team to advise on the sale process.
Nautilus Plus is acquired by the existing Management group in collaboration with Fondaction and CSN.
Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Nautilus Plus Inc.
RCGT is pleased to have had the opportunity to advise Nautilus Plus and its shareholders on the sale of the business. The acquisition was concluded with a group of investors led by Nautilus Plus’ current CEO, Martin Légaré, and vice-presidents Marie-Josée Després and Sylvain Cyr, as well as Fondaction, the labour-sponsored fund of the Confédération des syndicats nationaux (CSN).
